Flydubai has announced plans to commence flights to Sochi, from June to September. This initiative aims to cater to the increasing demand for travel and tourism, with Flydubai expanding its route network to include popular leisure destinations.
The decision to include Sochi in Flydubai’s flight schedule highlights the city’s status as a renowned seaside resort, offering breathtaking views of the Caucasus Mountains. Visitors can explore lush green forests or immerse themselves in the rich historical and cultural heritage of the city.
According to a press release from the airline, Flydubai will operate flights from June 16 to September 1 to destinations including Batumi, Bodrum, Dubrovnik, Olbia, Sochi, Tivat, and Trabzon, as well as the islands of Corfu, Mykonos, and Santorini.
Flydubai plans to operate three weekly flights between Dubai and Sochi, providing travelers with convenient access to the city. In addition to these new routes, the airline continues its regular operations to cities such as Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Makhachkala, Mineralnye Vody, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Samara, St. Petersburg, and Ufa.
The move comes as the United Arab Emirates (UAE) remains a popular destination among Russian tourists. According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), the UAE ranked among the top three most popular destinations for Russian travelers in 2023. With approximately 1.5 million Russian tourists visiting the UAE in 2023, representing a 24.1% increase compared to the previous year, the addition of Sochi to airline’s route network is poised to further facilitate travel between the two countries.
The expansion into Sochi and other leisure destinations reflects the airline’s commitment to providing diverse travel options and enhancing connectivity for passengers across its network.
