Despite the Russian invasion of Ukraine two years ago, and sanctions imposed by many countries in the Americas and Europe leading to the suspension of flights to Russia by major airlines, numerous airlines flying to Russia in 2024.
Several major airlines, such as Emirates, Qatar, Air China, Turkish Airlines, and El Al, continue to provide regular scheduled flights to Russia.
Emirates operates multiple daily services from Dubai to Moscow Domodevo, and up to twice daily to St. Petersburg. Etihad and Qatar Airways also operate flights to Moscow and other Russian destinations from Abu Dhabi and Doha hubs.
Chinese airlines Air China, China Eastern, Beijing Capital Airlines, Chengdu Airlines, China Southern, Sichuan Airlines, and Tianjin Airlines operate scheduled services to Russia.
Five Turkish airlines operate flights to Moscow and other Russian destinations from Istanbul and Antalya hubs.
