As of February 14, 2024, Pegasus Airlines baggage allowance has been changed, according to Avianews.
New Pegasus Airlines Baggage Allowance
Under the new rules, the allowance for hand luggage will depend on the tariff and route. The cheapest tariff, “Light,” for international flights will now include only a small piece of hand luggage measuring up to 40x30x15 cm and weighing up to 3 kg. Tariffs Saver, Saver Plus, and Comfort Flex will include two pieces of hand luggage: one item with dimensions of 55x40x20 cm and a weight of up to 8 kg, and another item with dimensions up to 40x30x15 cm and a weight of up to 3 kg.
For domestic flights within Turkey, all Pegasus Airlines tariffs will include only one piece of hand luggage with dimensions of 55x40x20 cm and a weight of up to 8 kg. If a passenger purchases a ticket with a layover, including both domestic and international flights, the hand luggage rules for international flights will apply.
Passengers carrying hand luggage that exceeds the allowed weight or dimensions will be subject to a fine. The penalty is set at 50 euros for each item that does not comply with the rules.
Pegasus Airlines Baggage Allowance For Tickets Purchased before February 13
For tickets purchased before February 13, the previous norm applies. It allows all passengers to bring one item with dimensions up to 55x40x20 cm into the cabin without weight restrictions.
In general, the new Pegasus Airlines baggage allowance significantly reduces the size of the cheapest tariffs. However, passengers on international flights who purchase more expensive tickets will receive an increased hand luggage allowance—two pieces instead of one, though both pieces are restricted in weight.
