Mandarin Oriental, Geneva has unveiled its newly redesigned meeting rooms, offering visitors a unique and inspiring experience. With stunning views of the Rhône River and a décor inspired by nature, mountains, and water, these revamped meeting spaces provide an exceptional environment for productive work. Alongside the meeting room transformation, Mandarin Oriental, Geneva has also redesigned its rooms and suites, all featuring river views. This ongoing renovation reflects the hotel’s commitment to becoming a more modern and environmentally conscious destination, conveniently located near the Old Town.
Spanning over 1,000 square meters, the redesigned meeting spaces offer 11 separate rooms, each ideally suited for various events. The names of the meeting rooms pay homage to influential historical figures who have left their mark on Geneva, such as Émile Jaques-Dalcroze, Ferdinand Hodler, Voltaire, and James Fazy.
Natural daylight fills all the meeting rooms, while the larger rooms with Rhône river views feature ceiling mirrors that enhance the sense of spaciousness and reflect the abundant natural light. Light wood materials and sound-absorbing wall fabrics create a peaceful atmosphere. The conference rooms are modular with movable partitions, allowing for easy adaptation to different meeting formats and attendee requirements. Discreetly integrated into the ceiling of each lounge, presentation screens can be opened upon command. The lighting is adjustable, catering to specific needs and preferences.
To cater to participants seeking a serene work environment or a quiet place for phone calls, a newly designed gallery provides exclusive access to the lounges. Intimate alcoves have been created to foster concentration and solitude.
The spacious and luminous rooms, ranging from 26 square meters, as well as the Corner Suites spanning 80 square meters and Deluxe Suites spanning 95 square meters, all with Rhône river views, have undergone a redesign using materials sourced from Switzerland and neighboring countries like France, Italy, and Germany. Adorned with contemporary Swiss artwork, the rooms pay homage to the historical significance of the former Hôtel du Rhône, the Swiss landscape, and the journey of the river from the glaciers to the Mediterranean. Renowned photographers such as Rosario Civello, specializing in landscapes and nature, and Jean-François Hagenmüller, considered one of the greatest mountain photographers, have contributed their stunning images to grace the walls of the rooms.
The rooms and suites overlooking the Rhône river capture the essence of the seasons through nuanced colors. Vibrant blues, yellows, and light grays embody the freshness of spring and summer in the rooms and Deluxe Suites, while warmer shades of orange and brown evoke the spirit of autumn in the Corner Suites.
The Corner Suites offer breathtaking views of the Rhône, St. Peter’s Cathedral, and the Swiss Alps. A spectacular mirror on one wall enhances the luminosity and creates a harmonious and tranquil ambiance. Furnished like an inviting apartment, the Corner Suite features a library and a living room with a grand sofa for relaxation, as well as a dining area accommodating up to six people. The suite’s calming and cozy atmosphere is complemented by captivating mountain photographs. Additionally, the suite can be connected to a second bedroom, making it ideal for families.
