Grand Hyatt Debuts in Spain

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has officially inaugurated the Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa, marking the debut of the first Grand Hyatt hotel in Spain and the fourth in Europe under the luxury brand.

Taking advantage of its excellent location within the renowned La Manga Club Resort in Murcia, southeastern Spain, the hotel has undergone significant renovations to enhance its offerings.

Highlighting the strategic importance of the opening, Javier Águila, the group president EAME at Hyatt, expressed, “Expanding our luxury, lifestyle, and leisure portfolio is a key part of Hyatt’s strategy to increase our brand presence in Europe. We are grateful for our ongoing partnership with Grupo Inversor Hesperia, as Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa exemplifies the Grand Hyatt brand’s commitment to delivering exceptional experiences in every detail.”

Jordi Ferrer, CEO of Grupo Inversor Hesperia, emphasized the significance of the arrival of the Grand Hyatt brand in Spain through La Manga Club, stating, “This new hotel marks an important milestone for our company and the Spanish tourism sector as a whole. With its exclusive services and remarkable location, we are confident that we will offer unique experiences to our guests and generate added value for the Murcia Region.” To create a sense of place that encourages guests to fully unwind in this luxurious retreat, the property collaborated with Room 1804, an international design firm, drawing inspiration from the area’s captivating Mediterranean architecture, Moorish influences, and natural beauty.

Mediterranean-Inspired Guestrooms

The 192 exquisitely furnished guestrooms, including seven signature suites, offer picturesque views of the rolling hills of Calblanque Natural Park and the Mediterranean Sea. Each guestroom epitomizes luxury, elegance, and sophistication, featuring modern amenities, nature-inspired color schemes, and spa-inspired marble bathrooms.

Recreation and Wellness

At the heart of the hotel’s transformation lies the new 18,298-square-foot (1,700-square-meter) world-class wellness center, providing guests with ample opportunities to disconnect and relax amidst the tranquil surroundings. The Arabian-inspired Alma’ Spa offers a serene space for rejuvenation, with water serving as a key element throughout the spa. From indulgent treatments and beauty therapies using premium Natura Bissé skincare products in six treatment rooms to a hydrotherapy pool and a multi-sensory circuit in the 4,736-square-foot (440-square-meter) spa, guests can revitalize both body and mind. The facilities also include an adult-only infinity pool with panoramic views of the golf course and coastline, an outdoor family pool, and a fitness center.

True to its name, the new Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa boasts three of Europe’s finest 18-hole golf courses. The Golf Academy and Practice Center cater to both amateur and professional players seeking to enhance their skills in a stunning setting.

With its exceptional sports facilities, the hotel serves as a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. On-site amenities comprise The Racquets Center, newly refurbished with 28 tennis and seven floodlit paddle courts, state-of-the-art cricket facilities—including two artificial pitches, five artificial net lanes, and a fielding practice area—making it one of the premier cricket destinations in southern Europe. The professional La Manga Club Football Center features eight FIFA-sized natural grass pitches and a 750-capacity stadium, making it an ideal official training ground for FC Cartagena.

The Grand Hyatt brand takes pride in presenting local cuisine at a world-class level, and the resort features 11 distinct dining destinations that showcase both regional and international flavors. From the rustic charm of an Italian trattoria to the authentic experience of an izakaya sushi bar, and from Southeast Asian delicacies to the refined fine-dining and breathtaking beachfront setting of La Cala restaurant, guests can embark on a culinary journey around the world while savoring high-quality local ingredients.
