“The Russian side proposed to increase the number of flights between countries, including to/from Goa. In turn, partners from India said that at present the number of flights between the countries is only 20% of the possible. As a result of consultations, agreements were reached to increase the number of frequencies for the designated airlines of Russia and India from 52 to 64,” the document says.
In addition, now Russian airlines will be able to operate flights from any point in Russia within the established frequencies. Thus, it is possible to deliver up to 17 flights per week to Delhi, 18 to Mumbai, and up to 29 flights per week to Goa, Amritsar, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, if Russian airlines use all the declared capacity, then the Indian authorities are ready to approve an application for an additional number of flights.
After February 24, almost all international airlines left the Russian market. However, 40 international airlines still operate flights to Russia
