Set to open in spring 2023, Raffles London at The OWO and The OWO Residences by Raffles will be the brand’s first opening in London
Raffles London at The OWO offers the most historic of addresses. Formerly Britain’s historic Old War Office, the iconic Whitehall building was once inhabited by Britain’s most famous statesmen and spies, from Winston Churchill to Ian Fleming, creator of James Bond. In fact, many of the Bond movies had scenes filmed in the building.
Today, this Grade II* listed Old War Office has been cherished and restored by literally thousands of expert craftsmen and women and transformed into Raffles first London hotel. The lofty scale and soaring ceiling heights lend it a grandeur rarely seen in hotels.
The hotel stands on the corner of Whitehall and Horse Guards Avenue. Whitehall, the most majestic of thoroughfares, takes its name from the royal palace that once stood here and The Queen’s Life Guards still stand guard opposite the hotel every day.
The Raffles name has been associated with the highest level of hospitality for over 130 years. Times may change, but Raffles sees the ambition of delivering perfect service – and exquisite hospitality – as it’s cherished goal.
This goal with be brought alive across the hotel’s 120 rooms and suites designed by Thierry Despont. The 85 Raffles branded residences, designed by 1508 London, will offer a complete range of Raffles services – from in-suite dining, to housekeeping and laundry, to private events.
For epicureans, nine restaurants and three bars are overseen by world-class chefs, including three unique dining experiences by chef Mauro Colagreco. And for body and mind, a luxurious Guerlain Spa with nine treatment rooms offer traditional beauty therapies, whilst cutting edge wellness brand, PILLAR will oversee active wellness training and health programmes. All this complemented by a 20-metre indoor swimming pool, vitality pool, saunas and steam rooms, state of the art gym and yoga studio.

With access via the exceptional grand marbled central staircase, the extraordinary ballroom has seating for up to 600 people and is complemented by extensive pre-function space and six additional meeting rooms, making Raffles London a spectacular and versatile stage for the most dazzling of celebrations.
