Turkish Airlines announced the start of direct flights to Panama City from October 30, 2022.
The daily services offered by Turkish Airlines on the Istanbul-Bogota-Panama-Istanbul route will be extended from October 30 with three (3) weekly direct flights between Tocumen International Airport in Panama City and Istanbul International Airport, on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, thus going from seven (7) to ten (10) weekly flights.
Raffoul Arab, general manager of the Tocumen International Airport, celebrated the increase in flights by Turkish Airlines, and said: “The company’s decision confirms the confidence in the Panamanian market, making our country the preferred connection in America, which contributes to the tourist, economic and social development of Panama”.
The flights are operated on a Boeing 787-900 “Dreamliner” aircraft, with a capacity of 300 passengers, configured: 30 in business class and 270 in economy class, considered one of the most advanced aircraft for its fuel efficiency and maximum flexibility.
It may have taken a long while, but the Central American gem of Panama has finally lifted all of its Covid travel restrictions.
The name of the national Turkish Airlines will be changed to Türkiye Hava Yolları. The rebranding is related to the change of the international official name of Turkey from Turkey to Türkiye.
