The name of the national Turkish Airlines will be changed to Türkiye Hava Yolları. The rebranding is related to the change of the international official name of Turkey from Turkey to Türkiye.
“The is no more Turkey, there is Türkiye. From now on, we will write Türkiye Hava Yolları instead of Turkish Airlines on the fuselage of our planes,” said the President of Turkey.
Also, the Turkish President decided to use the name of the country in other languages without translation and in all types of international activities and in official correspondence. The word was said to “best represent and express the culture and values of the Turkish nation”.
