Top 10 European Countries for Flight Cancellations

The Spanish tourism and aviation analytics company Mabrian studied flight cancellations in Europe and named the countries with the most cancellations in the first half of July.

According to Mabrian, the top ten European countries with the most flight cancellations are Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Greece, Austria, Portugal and Denmark.

At the same time, the highest level of cancellations of scheduled flights in the period from 1 to 15 July was in Germany, with a total of 11,482 flights cancelled. Germany also leads the EU in terms of the share of canceled flights to international destinations (6.12%).

Germany is followed by the UK (1060 flights), Italy (637), Spain (423), France (377), the Netherlands (291), Greece (207), Austria (188), Portugal (116) and Denmark (104).

And Spain (1.08%), Greece (1.32%) and Portugal (1.25%) are among the top three countries with the lowest percentage of international flight cancellations.
