Russia Will Spend 17 Billion Rubles to Save Airlines

The Russian government will recapitalize Russian airlines with the National Welfare Fund (NSC).

17 billion rubles ($ 270 million at the current exchange rate) will be allocated from the National Fund for the purchase of bonds of three Russian airlines – Ural Airlines, Siberia and Aurora.

The reason for the need for financial support for airlines in the Russian government is the impact of sanctions.

In particular, it is planned to spend more than 13.7 billion rubles on the purchase of bonds of Siberia Airlines, 3 billion rubles on Ural Airlines, and about 366 million rubles on Aurora.
