Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla, a luxury oceanfront resort located on the exclusive Caribbean island, now provides on-site COVID testing to help guests comply with CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) regulations for traveller re-entry to the United States. Testing is done quickly by a dedicated nurse and appointments may be made via the concierge or the Four Seasons App.
Anguilla has established a strong testing protocol since reopening for tourism in November 2020 – travellers are required to be pre-approved for entrance in the country and test upon arrival and at departure. There has been no community transmission of COVID-19 on Anguilla since March 2020, according to the country’s tourism board, and the CDC puts the British overseas territory in the elite Level 1 category – its lowest risk tier.
“It is our goal to ensure safe and responsible travel while also helping our guests easily comply with travel requirements. We are pleased to offer the same seamless and reliable service that Four Seasons is known for when it comes to COVID testing,” says Diego Angarita, General Manager, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla.
Per CDC requirements, testing must be completed within three days (72 hours) before a return flight to the United States and documentation of laboratory results are provided prior to check-out for travellers departing to the United States. Speaking about the new requirements, Anguilla’s Minister of Tourism Haydn Hughes stated that “the CDC’s requirement for testing on departure for all visitors returning to the US is one that Anguilla has the capacity to handle in an efficient manner.”
Repeatedly named the number one island in the Caribbean in Travel + Leisure magazine readers’ surveys, Anguilla is known as the Caribbean’s culinary capital, with a variety of restaurants to discover, all within minutes of the Resort.
“Anguilla welcomes visitors with a roster of activities and pre-screened providers guaranteeing safety,” says Angarita. For a list of 21 experiences for 2021, visit here.
Encircled by the white sands and turquoise waters of Barnes Bay and Meads Bay, the 35-acre (14 hectare), low-lying property provides ample space for guests to spread out over two beaches, three resort pools and four restaurants. A state-of-the-art fitness centre, three tennis courts, and complimentary water sports such as sailing Hobie Cats are also available.
In addition to on-site testing, Four Seasons has embarked on an enhanced global health and safety program, Lead With Care, which reinforces the brand’s already stringent health and safety policies and procedures. Grounded in health care expertise and enabled by access to leading experts, technologies and tools, the program builds on Four Seasons legendary service model and provides behavioural training to teams, ensuring that empathetic, personalised care and connection are not lost in the absence of close contact and limited face-to-face interaction.
