New German Airline Green Airlines to Take Off in October

Green Airlines, the Karlsruhe start-up that focuses on business customers and companies, plans to connect Karlsruhe to Baden-Baden, Berlin, Paderborn, Zurich, Vienna, and Hamburg.

The airline is a virtual airline, it will operate on the ATR72-500 model from the French manufacturer Avions de Transport Régional leased from Danish airline Air Alsie.

Green Airlines will launch its first route in October – Karlsruhe-Baden-Baden Airport, FKB to BER in Berlin, three times a day. On Sunday evenings virtual airline will offer a shuttle for the weekend commuters. 

The company wants to “enable climate-positive flying”. The airline overcompensates all greenhouse gas emissions.

The airline wants to expand its route network to Dresden, Friedrichshafen, Rostock and Sylt in 2021.

Another virtual airline launches flights from Lubeck Airport.
