Magnus Örnberg New CFO at SAS

SAS has today appointed Magnus Örnberg as new Exeutive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Magnus Örnberg’s most recent position is that of CFO for the SAAB AB defence and security group, a position he has held since 2012.

Magnus is a well-established and valued CFO with comprehensive financial experience from large, listed international industry groups. He has worked in different roles and units within the ABB group over many years, in Sweden as well as internationally, and has since 2012 worked as CFO for the defence and security group SAAB.

“I am very pleased to welcome Magnus Örnberg to SAS. Magnus’ comprehensive financial expertise combined with aviation experience from SAAB makes him a valuable addition to SAS. He will play a key role in future proofing the company during these challenging times,” says CEO at SAS Rickard Gustafson.

Magnus assumes the role at SAS latest October 1. As previously communicated, the current CFO Torbjørn Wist will leave SAS during September 2020 to start as CFO at Wallenius Wilhelmsen in Norway.
