Ural Airlines Received Fourth Airbus Neo

On December 24, 2019, the Ural Airlines fleet was replenished with the third Airbus A320neo with aircraft number VP-BRY, which became the fourth neo aircraft in the airline’s fleet. The aircraft was obtained directly from the Airbus factory in Hamburg.

The cabin of the new aircraft has a two-class layout, designed to accommodate 8 passengers in the business class and 168 in the economy class.

Neo are long-range aircraft with 20% lower fuel consumption compared to previous models. The new aircraft is also equipped with CFM International’s LEAP-1A engines, like other neo aircraft that are already in the airline’s fleet.

The new aircraft completed its first flight on December 25, 2019 along the route U6-262 Moscow (Domodedovo) – Yekaterinburg. Seventy-seven passengers of the flight appreciated the new ultra-thin passenger seats, equipped with USB-connectors for recharging gadgets, improved sound insulation, spacious luggage racks and upgraded panels above the passenger seats.

The aircraft became the 47th in a row in the Ural Airlines fleet. The aircraft will be operated on domestic and international routes under an operating lease agreement with CDB Aviation Lease Finance. In January 2020, the airline will receive another new Airbus A321 neo aircraft.

The Ural Airlines fleet consists of modern and comfortable European aircraft of the Airbus A320 family. Under the existing fleet upgrade program, the carrier leases new liners every year. At the moment there are 45 of them (24 A320s, 16 A321s and 5 A319s).

In 2018 Ural Airlines successfully passed the regular international audit for compliance with operational safety standards and retained its place on the IOSA Registry of International Air Transport Association (IATA).
