Tapestry Collection by Hilton Debuts in Mexico

Tapestry Collection by Hilton today announces the opening of MM Grand Hotel Puebla, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, representing the brand’s first property in Mexico and Latin America and the Caribbean. Owned by Operadora TIM and managed by Magusa Turistica, the 93-room property features a lush garden and terrace as well as an on-site authentic Mexican restaurant and bar.

“As we introduce travelers to the Tapestry Collection by Hilton brand with its debut hotel in Mexico, we recognize the demand for innovative and exceptional guest experiences, which the brand flawlessly delivers,” said Juan Corvinos, vice president, development, Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton. “With the addition of MM Grand Hotel Puebla and four properties in the brand’s regional pipeline, we open our doors for travelers to visit the fourth largest city in Mexico1 and experience its renowned cuisine, colonial architecture and dynamic culture.”

Nestled in a naturally wooded area, the hacienda-style hotel features colonial architecture with decorative elements typical of Mexican tradition such as talavera ceramic tiling and pale pink hues. Offering a natural backdrop in a city-center location, the hotel is the area’s only property in its category to welcome pets. Guest rooms feature signature pillows and bedding, 42-inch HDTVs, and a workstation. For meetings and events, the boutique property offers three meeting spaces of more than 4,000 square feet, including a 350-person auditorium.

Travelers can select from a variety of dining options, including Casa Plata — an authentic Mexican restaurant influenced by French, Spanish and Latin American cuisine. The eatery also boasts artwork by renowned national artists such as Manuel de Cisneros, Alejandro Tehutli and Blue Demon Jr. After dinner, guests can indulge in cocktails at contemporary bar Canales, which offers traditional mezcal cocktails and is surrounded by a lush garden.

Situated in the epicenter of Puebla near the city’s best shopping, dining and entertainment, MM Grand Hotel Puebla also offers convenient access to Hermanos Serdan International Airport just 30 minutes away. Guests can visit local attractions — such as Museo Internacional del Barroco, Auditorio Metropolitano, Museo Amparo, Catedral de Puebla and Centro Historico — to immerse themselves into the city’s rich history and culture. Travelers can also visit the Star of Puebla, a Ferris wheel that offers amazing views of the city, or the local safari park, Africam Safari.

“While introducing our first property in Latin America with MM Grand Hotel Puebla, we look forward to introducing travelers to the unique and independent spirit of our hotels — particularly in a vibrant and evolving city such as Puebla,” said Jenna Hackett, global head, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. “With nearly 30 existing properties around the world and more than 20 hotels set to open in the next year, our brand has shown impressive growth since its debut three years ago.”

Hilton currently has a portfolio of more than 150 hotels and resorts open to welcome travelers in the Caribbean and Latin America. In its 100th year, the company continues to pursue additional growth opportunities and currently has a robust pipeline of approximately 95 hotels throughout the region, including two Tapestry Collection properties in Peru — Hotel Bel’Arte Lima and Hotel Museo de Osma. In the last five years, Hilton has more than doubled its portfolio in the Caribbean and Latin America and plans to celebrate approximately 20 new hotel openings across the region this year.
