Air France Shopping has teamed up with bilum, a pioneering French upcycling company, to design a new collection of responsible, sustainable and Made in France travel accessories.
Created from the fabric used to cover the seats of the company’s Concorde aircraft, this new series is a limited edition with just 150 of each model. The fabric used was sorted, washed and transformed in the bilum workshops in the Paris region.
Wallet or comfort kit, each item is available for purchase on airfranceshopping.com from 29 to 59 euros including VAT.
Both brands chose a sober and minimalist design to highlight the original fabric, a slightly satin textured white canvas that covered the seats of the Concorde cabins. A touch of blue echoes the edging that adorned the Concorde’s tableware.
A 100% sustainable second life for this iconic cabin interior created by designer Andrée Putman in 1992.
This is the fourth time that Air France and bilum have joined forces to upcycle the company’s materials, which is committed to reducing its environmental impact.
