World’s Most Popular Countries

According to the analysts at World Population Review, specializing in global demographics, the ranking of the world’s most popular countries has been compiled.

For 30 consecutive years, France has retained its position as the world’s most popular tourist destination. The most visited city is Paris, home to globally renowned landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles, and the Louvre. France boasts the highest number of world-class restaurants, and the French Riviera is home to some of the most famous beaches globally. Additionally, the only European Disneyland is located in France. The country is also dotted with picturesque villages, mountains, vineyards, and rare castles.

The majority of countries in the ranking are located in Europe, where rich history, architecture, and cultural influence make it an attractive destination for travelers.

Spain, for example, offers attractions like Antoni Gaudí’s Sagrada Família and other works in Barcelona, the Guggenheim Museum, the gardens of the Alhambra and Generalife, Europe’s largest aquarium (L’Oceanogràfic) shaped like a lily, the beaches of Gran Canaria, and La Rambla Boulevard in Barcelona.

England’s capital, London, also draws tourists with numerous landmarks, including Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, and the British Museum, housing the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts outside Cairo. England features the mysterious Stonehenge, the birthplace of the Beatles in Liverpool, the picturesque beauty of the Cotswolds, and the botanical gardens of the Eden Project.
