World’s First Zero-Emission Hotel Set to Open at Singapore’s Changi Airport

At Singapore’s Changi Airport in Terminal 2, the Hotel Indigo Changi Airport will open – the world’s first zero-emission hotel in an aviation hub, as well as the first of its kind in the city-state. Its opening is scheduled for 2028.

The new 255-room hotel is set to feature a rooftop day club, bar, and landscaped pool offering panoramic views of the runway, cityscape, and Jewel complex. Another distinctive feature of the project is the floating Forest, seven stories of lush tropical greenery and epiphytes hanging from the building’s facade (plants that obtain moisture from the air).

The hotel aims to achieve zero harmful emissions through the use of solar panels, hybrid cooling systems, naturally ventilated corridors, and rainwater harvesting technology.

Hotel guests will be able to enjoy the benefits of the IHG Hotels and Resorts loyalty program, the parent group of Hotel Indigo.
