Qazaq Air Resumes Flights to Russia

Qazaq Air resumes flights to Russia. Currently, there are no direct flights between Aktobe and Kazan.

“The airline Qazaq Air announces the resumption of flights from Aktobe to Kazan from April 1, 2024. The flights will be operated twice a week on Mondays and Fridays according to the schedule,” the statement said.

Currently, there are no direct flights between Aktobe and Kazan.

According to the press service, transit routes will also be provided, such as Astana — Aktobe — Kazan and Atyrau — Aktobe — Kazan.

“The launch of regular flights will contribute to the development of education, tourism, cultural, and business cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia,” noted the airline’s press service.

In April 2023, it was reported that Qazaq Air faced scheduling issues with Kazan airport, leading to a suspension of flights to Kazan indefinitely due to a lack of available time intervals for servicing the flight at the airport.

Qazaq Air is an airline created to serve regional routes in Kazakhstan, with 100% of shares owned by the sovereign wealth fund “Samruk-Kazyna.” The air fleet consists of 5 De Havilland Dash-8-Q400NG aircraft (previously known as Bombardier DHC-8-Q400NG).
