A pet relief area for dogs has been introduced at Madrid-Barajas International Airport, making traveling with pets more comfortable.
The outdoor area, spanning approximately 50 square meters, is located in the arrival zone of Terminal 1. Here, animals can roam freely, although owners must always stay nearby according to regulations.
The facility is equipped with amenities for dogs, including a sandbox and waste disposal bags. Additionally, water is available for hydration, and there are play opportunities.
This dog waiting area in Terminal 1 is the first of several planned facilities for pets at the airport. Future installations include an outdoor facility in the arrivals area of Terminal 4 and three indoor spaces in the boarding areas of Terminals 2, 4, and 4S.
