Luxembourg Lifts All Covid-19 Entry Restrictions

Luxembourg will lift all Covid-19 entry restrictions for non-EU passport holders living outside the bloc from Saturday, October, 1, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced.

“From October 1, 2022, third-country nationals residing outside the European Union or the Schengen area can once again travel to the Grand Duchy for any kind of travel, including for non-essential travel (i.e., for tourist or other reasons), regardless of their vaccination status,” the statement of the Ministry says.

Until now, non-EU passport holders living outside the bloc or the Schengen area have had to prove their journey to Luxembourg was essential or hold a vaccination certificate that was considered equivalent in Luxembourg.

The Government of Canada also announced the removal of all COVID-19 entry restrictions, as well as testing, quarantine, and isolation requirements for anyone entering Canada, effective October 1, 2022.
