LOT Polish Airlines Launched New Routes from Wrocław and Rzeszów

LOT Polish Airlines has launched new routes from Wrocław and Rzeszów. The new connections mark a further stage in the extension of the flight network, in line with the national carrier’s strategy.

Last weekend saw the debut of LOT Polish Airlines’ flights on the Wrocław – Seoul and Rzeszów – Milan routes. The first direct flight from Copernicus Airport Wrocław to Seoul-Incheon Airport took place on Friday,  November 3, 2023. And the flight from Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport to Milan-Malpensa Airport took place on Saturday, November 4, 2023. The new connections mark the delivery of one of the objectives of LOT Polish Airlines’ new strategy, under which the national carrier is consolidating its presence at regional airports and supporting the growth of the tourism market.

Routes from Wrocław

Wrocław and South Korea have established a close partnership, particularly in the area of economic exchange. The new connection in LOT Polish Airlines’ offer between Wrocław and Seoul responds to the growing demand for travel from Lower Silesia to the capital of South Korea.

The first Boeing 787 Dreamliner to South Korea’s capital and largest city took off from Wrocław on November 3 at 16:25 local time. During the winter season, flights from Wrocław will operate once a week on Fridays at 16:25, with a flight time of 11 hours 20 minutes. Meanwhile, return flights from Seoul are scheduled to depart in the morning – at 8:50, and the flight will take 13 hours 40 minutes. During the summer season, the aircraft will take off from Wrocław to Seoul at 18:05, with the return flight departing at 9:05 local time.

The Wroclaw-Seoul connection flight will be operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, with round-trip fares starting at PLN 2,900 in Economy class, PLN 7,900 in Premium class and PLN 1,900 in Business class.

Wrocław is a major economic and academic centre, which translates into close Polish-Korean cooperation – more than half of the nearly six hundred Korean companies are based in Lower Silesia. Here, not only factories are being built, but also R&D branches of some of the biggest companies. The direct connection between Wrocław and Seoul is a next step in the expanding business partnership. I am excited to be offering direct flights from the capital of Lower Silesia to Seoul. I strongly believe that this connection will enjoy great interest among our passengers – Michał Fijoł, CEO, LOT Polish Airlines, commented.
