Gulf Air is preparing to launch flights to Russia from Bahrein. As stated in the announcement by the airline, the inaugural Gulf Air flight from Sochi to Manama will take place on June 3, 2024. Flights will operate once a week on Mondays using Airbus A321 aircraft with a capacity of 166 passengers.
The arrival in Sochi is scheduled for 20:15, with departure to the capital of Bahrain at 21:15 (local time).
“As of today, expanding the international route network is one of the top priorities for Sochi Airport. We will be delighted to welcome the national carrier from Bahrain to the resort capital, as well as tourists from the Persian Gulf countries. I am confident that these flights will boost tourism between Russia and Bahrain and with other countries in the Middle East,” noted Alexander Nikonov, Deputy Director General for Commercial Activities of Aerodynamics LLC.
Sochi Airport highlights that the airport served over 307,000 passengers on international routes, which is 2% higher than the previous year’s figure for the same period.
