On November 1, 2023, the flight program of the airline flydubai commenced from Volgograd Airport. The first flight from Dubai to Volgograd was greeted with a traditional water arch, creating a festive atmosphere for all passengers and guests within the international terminal building.
According to the airport’s announcement, flydubai’s main goal is to help people travel more frequently and visit more exciting destinations comfortably and without significant expenses. Currently, the airline’s route network encompasses 120 destinations in 52 countries across Africa, Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, Gulf countries, and Southeast Asia.
In 2017, Emirates and flydubai announced a strategic partnership aimed at joining forces to provide their customers with unique travel opportunities. This partnership allows passengers to benefit from both airlines and plan their trips more flexibly with layovers in Dubai. As a result, until the end of November, residents of Volgograd have access to flights with convenient connections in Dubai to destinations such as the Maldives, Zanzibar, Pattaya, and Seychelles (Mahe Island).
Flydubai flights from Volgograd will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The airline’s aircraft will arrive in Volgograd at 22:30 and depart for Dubai exactly one hour later, at 23:30. The one-way travel time is 4 hours and 40 minutes.
The Boeing 737-800NG aircraft are utilized on this route, featuring innovative seat design to provide optimal legroom and maximum comfort in the air. Increased overhead bin capacity and a unique lighting system create a special atmosphere that allows passengers to truly relax and enjoy their flight.
