Direct air links will connect the Krasnodar Krai and the capital of Bahrain. The inaugural flight from Sochi to Manama is scheduled for June 3, 2024. This information was reported by RBC, citing the press service of the regional administration.
Currently, tour operators are establishing cooperation. The Manama – Sochi – Manama route will increase tourist flow to the resort city from Arabian Peninsula countries.
As part of the project, a delegation from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia visited the Krasnodar Krai. In May 2024, representatives from Kuban will visit Bahrain and Saudi Arabia on a reciprocal visit.
“As part of the business mission at the tourism exhibition in Riyadh, the resort potential of the region will be presented to foreign partners,” said Acting Minister of Resorts, Tourism, and Olympic Legacy of the Krasnodar Krai, Mikhail Zaritsky.
Business contacts with Arabian Peninsula countries are being established amid the intensification of relations between Russia and Middle Eastern countries. The resort city of Sochi is an important tourist destination for actively promoting the country.
According to the press service of the Sochi administration, flights between the resort city and Bahrain will be operated on Mondays using Airbus A321 aircraft.
