Dublin Airport’s Private Terminal to Move to a Fully Electric BMW Fleet

Platinum Services, the exclusive 24-hour private terminal at Dublin Airport, has announced its transition to a fully electric  BMW vehicle fleet in collaboration with BMW Group Ireland.

This fleet upgrade signifies a substantial investment in sustainable transportation and includes the installation of additional electric vehicle charging units for customers’ convenience.

The decision reflects Platinum Services and Dublin Airport’s dedication to reducing their carbon footprint while delivering a premium and exceptional service to their customers.

The new electric fleet consists of cutting-edge BMW i7 and iX vehicles, which combine electric driving, unmatched passenger comfort, and a top-notch digital experience. With zero local emissions, these vehicles contribute to the broader sustainability efforts of Platinum Services and Dublin Airport. BMW also prioritizes the reduction of CO2 emissions throughout the entire lifecycle of their vehicles on their path towards climate neutrality.

For instance, the BMW i7 is manufactured in Dingolfing, Germany, where green energy and recycled materials are extensively utilized in the car’s body. Furthermore, BMW Group places great importance on sourcing raw materials for manufacturing in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.

The Group also aims to establish a closed and sustainable loop for recyclable materials used in battery cells. For more information, please visit here.
