Corinthia has recently entered into a hotel management agreement to oversee the operations of a luxurious resort in the Maldives, set to open in 2025.
The developer responsible for this upscale resort, which will be managed by Corinthia, is Maarah Pvt Ltd, a Maldivian entity affiliated with Maarah Holdings Ltd. Maarah Holdings Ltd is a company based in the United Arab Emirates and registered within the Dubai International Financial Centre. It is part of the esteemed Niro Investment Group, a renowned investment company in Romania that is expanding its international presence in the Middle East and South Asia.
The initial stages of development, including land reclamation and the first phase of construction, have already begun on the Kaafu Atoll. The resort will consist of two islands: the larger island will feature a 73-key resort, while the second, smaller island will be exclusively for private use.
Corinthia Maldives will showcase architectural designs inspired by aquatic elements, created by the globally renowned firm HKS. The main pavilion and villas will incorporate the graceful curves reminiscent of the Manta Ray, drawing inspiration from the ocean’s natural beauty. The resort will also offer state-of-the-art wellness facilities, various fitness spaces, and a selection of five restaurants operated in collaboration with internationally acclaimed brands.
