Crafted from bespoke travel trunks, Claridge’s hotel in London has revealed its Louis Vuitton Christmas Tree.
The Claridge’s Christmas Tree 2023 by Louis Vuitton brings together two renowned names with a shared history of celebrating the Art of Travel, both having been established in 1854.
This remarkable sculptural piece is nestled within two expansive, iconic wardrobe trunks stacked on top of each other, towering at a height of 5.2 meters. Each distinctive trunk is adorned with vintage Claridge’s travel stickers and an oversized Louis Vuitton luggage tag.
Radiating a festive allure, the tree is comprised of 15 vertically arranged chrome trunks of varying heights, forming the classic silhouette of a Christmas tree. Positioned atop the silver trunks and amidst the snowy landscape are 21 Louis Vuitton Vivienne mascots, displayed in the hotel’s distinguished black and white marbled lobby.
The Louis Vuitton trunk from the hotel envelops the enchanting Claridge’s Louis Vuitton Christmas Tree, reminiscent of the Maison’s iconic Malle Vestiaire or ‘Wardrobe Trunk,’ a rigid case crafted in 1875 for transporting one’s most personal and precious belongings.
