Air Europa Canceled 114 Flights Until June 2

The Spanish pilots’ union has called on Air Europa employees to engage in new strikes, resulting in a total of 114 flights being canceled, scheduled until June 2. This information is reported by TASS, citing the EFE agency.

According to the report, both domestic and international flights have been canceled. The new strike, which began on Monday, is expected to continue until June 2. Passengers with canceled flights are being offered the option to change their tickets.

In early May, the airline’s pilots went on strike in response to “tension and labor conflicts arising from Air Europa‘s management playing with workers’ rights, disguising as offers what represents a real loss of labor rights.”

The organization believes that “yielding to pressure from the company would lead to worsened working conditions and a decrease in wages in the short and medium term.”
