A-ROSA Introduces Cycling Cruises

A-ROSA is intensifying its cooperation with the cycling tour operator Terranova. The two companies have already worked together for some time, providing enjoyable cycling excursions on shore as part of A-ROSA’s city breaks by ship. Until now, guests on selected seven-night cruises in four regions of operation – Danube, Rhine/Main/Moselle, Rhône/Saone and Seine – have been able to explore destinations by bicycle with an expert local guide. “We’re delighted that Terranova is going to run cycling cruises exclusively with A-ROSA from 2020. They are the leading provider of high-quality cycling holidays and we’re the leading premium river cruise company, so it’s a perfect match. Terranova strengthens A-ROSA’s profile as a provider of personalised, active and regionally focused cruises,” said sales director Marius Griego. From 2020, the cycling package will also be available on the seven-night Douro Experience cruise in Portugal. What is more, modern e-bikes will be used for all cycling tours from next year – with traditional bicycles still available for those who want them, of course.

A-ROSA cycling cruises offer guests the opportunity to explore a specific region in depth, with approximately five bike tours. Whether it’s an early-morning jaunt through a still-sleeping city, a ride that follows the bends in the river with a view of the A-ROSA ship, a tour along winding, remote country paths or a trip to a cultural site, every cycling excursion promises to be a very special experience for guests. And, thanks to the all-inclusive package, they needn’t worry about any of the details – transfers, entry fees, guided tours and refreshments during the excursions are all taken care of. A further highlight of the cycling cruises is an exclusive farewell dinner on board.
