IHG Hotels & Resorts will introduce its Crowne Plaza brand to Multan for the first time with the opening of Crowne Plaza Multan in 2028. The 200-room hotel will operate under a franchise agreement and be managed by Aleph Hospitality.
The property will be located within Serene Tower, a premium mixed-use development in the DHA Multan community, strengthening IHG’s presence in Pakistan’s growing hospitality sector.
New Landmark for Multan
Situated on Main Jinnah Avenue, Crowne Plaza Multan will cater to both business and leisure travellers. The hotel will feature 200 contemporary guestrooms alongside a range of facilities designed to meet the needs of domestic and international visitors.
Planned amenities include all-day dining restaurants, flexible meeting and event spaces, a fitness centre, swimming pool and access to a PGA-approved championship golf course. The development will also include a helipad.
Growing Tourism Potential
Multan is one of Pakistan’s most important cultural, religious and commercial centres and continues to experience increasing demand for quality accommodation as tourism and business travel expand.
Aleph Hospitality said the project aligns with its strategy of partnering with owners in high-growth destinations across the Middle East and Africa. The company noted that Pakistan’s travel and tourism sector is forecast to grow at an annual compound rate of 11%, reaching an estimated value of USD 8.3 billion over the next five years.
Aleph Hospitality Expands Portfolio
Under the agreement with Serene Tower PVT Ltd, Aleph Hospitality will oversee hotel operations when the property opens in 2028.
The addition of Crowne Plaza Multan expands Aleph Hospitality’s regional portfolio, which now includes approximately 80 hotels across the Middle East and Africa, with more than 50 currently in operation and over 30 projects under development.
Strengthening IHG’s Presence in Pakistan
The opening will mark the first Crowne Plaza hotel in Multan, further expanding IHG Hotels & Resorts’ footprint in Pakistan. Positioned within one of the city’s most prominent mixed-use developments, the hotel is expected to become a leading destination for corporate events, conferences and leisure stays while supporting the continued growth of Multan’s tourism and business sectors.
