Saudi Arabia has introduced a new digital Package Visa initiative that allows international travellers to apply for a tourist visa while booking an integrated travel package, streamlining the journey from trip planning to arrival.
Announced by the Saudi Tourism Authority, the new system combines visa applications with flights, accommodation and tourism experiences through qualified travel providers, eliminating the need for visitors to complete each step separately.
One Booking for the Entire Journey
Under the new initiative, eligible travellers can arrange their tourist visa, hotel accommodation, flights, attractions and activities as part of a single itinerary through participating travel companies.
The Package Visa is currently available through selected travel and tourism providers that meet Saudi Arabia’s service standards and provide 24-hour customer support.
“As Saudi’s tourism sector continues to grow at pace, Package Visa reflects our commitment to making travel to Saudi more seamless for visitors,” said Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al Khateeb.
“By integrating visa issuance with travel bookings, we are simplifying the visitor journey and creating a more connected travel experience.”
Supporting Tourism Growth
The initiative forms part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to expand international tourism and improve accessibility under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 programme.
Authorities said the platform also strengthens cooperation between government agencies and the private tourism sector while making it easier for visitors to discover attractions and experiences across the country.
Important Market for Saudi Tourism
Saudi Arabia remains one of the most significant international destinations for travellers from Pakistan, who visit the Kingdom for Hajj, Umrah, employment, business and leisure travel.
According to figures presented by Pakistan’s travel industry earlier this year, the number of Pakistani visitors to Saudi Arabia increased from 2.7 million in 2024 to an estimated 2.87 million in 2025.
The Saudi Tourism Authority said the Package Visa will initially be available through selected international travel providers before being gradually expanded to additional markets worldwide.
