Singapore Airlines Doubles London Gatwick Flights For 2026

Singapore Airlines is increasing flights from London Gatwick to Singapore to double daily from today until 29 August 2026, giving travellers more choice on one of its key long-haul routes.

The airline said the higher frequency will then resume from 25 October 2026, extending the double daily service into the next peak travel period.

The move is designed to improve connectivity for passengers travelling beyond Singapore, with links to popular holiday destinations including Bali, Thailand, New Zealand and seven gateways in Australia.

The additional flights come as airlines continue to adjust long-haul schedules to meet demand for leisure and onward travel. For Singapore Airlines, the London Gatwick route remains an important part of its Europe network, connecting the UK with Southeast Asia and a wide range of onward destinations across the region and beyond.

More frequent departures can also make it easier for travellers to plan around work schedules, school holidays and multi-stop itineraries. On a route such as London to Singapore, which serves both direct travellers and those connecting onward, extra capacity often increases flexibility in both directions.

Singapore is a major transit hub for journeys into Asia and the South Pacific. From there, passengers can connect to resort destinations in Indonesia and Thailand, as well as long-haul leisure routes to New Zealand and Australia.

For passengers, the main benefit is choice. More departures can mean better timings, shorter layovers and more options when booking flights to destinations that are popular for holidays, family visits and multi-country trips.
