Minor Hotels has announced the signing of NH Riyadh Prime Square Hotel, marking the debut of its NH Hotels & Resorts brand in both Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. The 121-room upscale hotel is scheduled to open in 2030 as part of the Prime Square mixed-use development in Riyadh.
Developed by Heyazah Real Estate Development, the hotel will be located in Riyadh’s King Fahad District along King Abdullah Road, one of the Saudi capital’s key commercial corridors. The project supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy to expand tourism, attract investment and strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a global destination.
121-Room Hotel Planned for Prime Square Development
NH Riyadh Prime Square Hotel will feature 121 guestrooms and suites, including 80 King Rooms, 25 Deluxe King Rooms and 16 NH Suites. Facilities will include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a rooftop pool bar and lounge, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, a business centre and meeting spaces designed for corporate and leisure travellers.
The hotel will form part of Prime Square, an integrated mixed-use destination centred around a landscaped public plaza. The development will combine hospitality, office space, retail outlets, cafés, restaurants and lifestyle amenities.
Guests will also benefit from convenient access to Riyadh’s public transport network, with both Al Wurud Metro Station and STC Metro Station located nearby, providing connections to the city’s business and leisure districts.
Minor Hotels Expands Middle East Portfolio
“We are delighted to introduce NH Hotels & Resorts to the Middle East through this landmark signing in Riyadh,” said Amir Golbarg, Chief Operating Officer of Minor Hotels Middle East & Africa.
He said Saudi Arabia remains one of the world’s most attractive hospitality markets, supported by strong economic growth, increasing visitor numbers and ambitious national development plans.
Adel Ahmed Al-Saif, Chief Executive Officer of Heyazah Real Estate Development, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to creating strategically located mixed-use destinations that combine hospitality, commercial space and lifestyle offerings while supporting Riyadh’s continued urban growth.
Supporting Saudi Arabia’s Tourism Growth
The signing comes as Saudi Arabia continues to invest heavily in tourism infrastructure under Vision 2030. Riyadh is expected to experience significant growth in business, leisure and events travel over the coming years, creating additional demand for internationally recognised hotel brands.
Founded in 2005 and operating as part of Ahmed Al-Saif Holding Group, Heyazah Real Estate Development has completed approximately 621,000 square metres of real estate projects across Saudi Arabia and currently has more than 1.1 million square metres under development.
Minor Hotels operates more than 640 hotels across 66 countries through multiple brands. The addition of NH Riyadh Prime Square Hotel further strengthens the group’s growing presence in Saudi Arabia and expands the global footprint of its NH Hotels & Resorts brand.
