IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Embrassio Hotels & Resorts Private Limited, part of the Vrindara Group, to develop a new Holiday Inn hotel in Mathura, one of India‘s most important pilgrimage destinations.
The property is scheduled to open in early 2030 and forms part of IHG’s strategy to expand its presence in high-growth travel markets across India.
The signing also strengthens the footprint of the Holiday Inn brand, which continues to grow rapidly across the country.
New Holiday Inn Planned For Mathura
The future Holiday Inn Mathura will feature 115 rooms and suites designed to serve both leisure and business travelers visiting the city.
Located in one of India’s most significant religious destinations, the hotel is expected to benefit from increasing levels of domestic pilgrimage travel and growing demand for internationally branded accommodation.
Mathura attracts millions of visitors annually due to its religious and cultural importance, particularly among Hindu pilgrims.
Dining, Events And Leisure Facilities
The hotel will include three food and beverage outlets, comprising an all-day dining restaurant, a bar and a lobby lounge.
Meeting and event facilities will span five venues, including a ballroom designed to host conferences, social gatherings and celebrations.
Guests will also have access to a fitness centre and swimming pool.
The combination of accommodation, dining and event facilities is expected to position the hotel as a key hospitality destination within the city.
