UAE carriers flydubai and Air Arabia are expanding their Russia operations this summer, adding more flights to Moscow and several regional destinations as demand for travel between the two countries continues to recover.

From 26 June through 31 July, flydubai will increase frequencies across its Russian network. Services to Moscow will rise to two flights per day, while Kazan and Yekaterinburg will each receive three weekly flights.

The airline will also operate four weekly flights to Mineralnye Vody and Makhachkala. In addition, flights to Sochi will increase from four weekly services to daily operations from 17 July.

Air Arabia Adds Extra Moscow Frequency

Air Arabia is also continuing to expand capacity between the United Arab Emirates and Russia.

From 10 July, the carrier will introduce an additional Sharjah–Moscow service operating four times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The new frequency will complement the airline’s existing operations and provide travelers with more options between Russia and the UAE.

Gulf Carriers Strengthen Russia Connectivity

The latest increases further reinforce the role of Gulf airlines in maintaining Russia’s international air links.

As many Western carriers remain absent from the Russian market, airlines based in the UAE and the wider Gulf region have become key providers of international connectivity, offering access to destinations across the Middle East, Asia and Africa through their hub networks.

Both flydubai and Air Arabia have continued to expand their presence in Russia, reflecting sustained demand for leisure travel, business trips and onward connections through the Gulf.
