Rzeszow Airport Handles 94,820 Passengers in May 2026

Rzeszow-Jasionka Airport handled 94,820 passengers in May, making it its strongest month of 2026 so far. The result showed a clear monthly improvement for the airport in southeastern Poland.

The airport said May was the best month of the year to date, but traffic was still weaker than in 2025. The figures underline how passenger demand remains uneven at the regional hub, even after a strong spring performance.

Rzeszow-Jasionka Airport, officially named after the Ulma Family, did not give a breakdown by route or airline in the short update. The latest total gives a snapshot of the airport’s current traffic trend and its role as a key gateway for the Podkarpackie region.

The May result may help support a stronger second half of the year if demand continues to rise during the summer travel period. Airports across Europe often see their busiest months in late spring and summer, when leisure and visiting friends and relatives traffic increases.

Regional airports such as Rzeszow have faced a volatile market in recent years, with passenger numbers affected by airline schedules, competition from larger hubs and shifting travel patterns. A monthly total just below 95,000 suggests stable activity, but the comparison with 2025 indicates there is still room for recovery.

The airport’s performance in May also matters for the local economy. Higher passenger volumes can support tourism, business travel and airport-linked services in the surrounding area.

For travelers, the figures point to a modest but positive peak in activity. If the summer season follows the same pattern, the airport could continue to build on May’s momentum, even if it remains below last year’s level.
