Llanerch Vineyard Seeks Approval For New Hotel Expansion In Wales

Llanerch Vineyard in South Wales is planning another major expansion as the award-winning wine tourism destination seeks approval for additional accommodation, new wedding facilities and upgraded guest amenities.

The proposed development would expand hospitality capacity at the site as operators continue investing in experiences that combine accommodation, dining, events and wine tourism.

If approved, the project would further strengthen Llanerch Vineyard’s position as one of Wales’ largest vineyard hospitality destinations.

New Accommodation Block Would Expand Hotel Capacity

Plans submitted for the site include a new two-storey accommodation building containing 22 additional guestrooms overlooking the vineyard.

The proposed rooms would feature either private outdoor areas or balconies designed to maximize views across the surrounding landscape.

The expansion would add to the property’s existing room inventory, increasing capacity as demand for vineyard stays and countryside hospitality experiences continues growing.

Developers say the new accommodation aims to complement the existing guest experience while expanding overnight capacity.

Wedding And Wellness Facilities Also Planned

The project extends beyond guestrooms and includes new facilities designed to strengthen the property’s position within the events and wedding market.

Plans include construction of a dedicated wedding ceremony space and a new bridal suite.

Existing back-of-house space would also be converted into a fitness facility as operators increasingly add wellness components to hospitality offerings.

The additions are designed to broaden the range of experiences available to overnight guests and event visitors.

Vineyard Continues Evolution Into Major Tourism Destination

The 22-acre site has undergone multiple transformations over recent decades, evolving from a former working farm into one of Wales’ better-known wine tourism destinations.

Previous investments have already expanded accommodation capacity and upgraded dining facilities as the business increasingly focused on hospitality-led growth.

Today, the property combines accommodation, fine dining, weddings, cookery experiences and vineyard tourism under a single destination model.

The latest expansion proposal reflects wider growth across wine tourism markets where operators increasingly diversify offerings beyond traditional vineyard experiences.
