Highgate Takes Over Operations At Lotte New York Palace In Major Hospitality Deal

Lotte Hotels & Resorts and Highgate have announced a strategic partnership that will reshape operations at one of New York’s best-known luxury hotels while expanding collaboration across multiple international hospitality markets.

Beginning this month, Highgate will assume management responsibilities for the Lotte New York Palace Hotel while Lotte retains ownership of the landmark property.

The agreement marks the beginning of a wider partnership designed to expand cooperation across hotel operations, technology, distribution and talent development initiatives.

Highgate To Oversee Operations At Landmark Manhattan Hotel

Under the new arrangement, Highgate will become responsible for day-to-day operations at the 909-room Lotte New York Palace.

Responsibilities transferred under the agreement include hotel operations, labor relations, marketing, revenue management and sales activities.

Despite the operational changes, the property will continue operating under the Lotte New York Palace brand.

Preparations for the transition are already underway as both companies begin implementing operational changes.

Luxury Hotel Remains Key Asset In North American Portfolio

Located opposite St Patrick’s Cathedral and near Rockefeller Center, the property remains one of Manhattan’s most recognizable luxury hotels.

The 55-story hotel originally opened in 1981 before becoming part of Lotte Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio in 2015.

The acquisition represented Lotte’s entry into the North American hospitality market and later expanded further when the company purchased the underlying land.

Today, the hotel remains a flagship asset within Lotte’s international portfolio.

Partnership Extends Beyond Single Hotel Operations

The partnership between both companies stretches beyond management responsibilities at a single property.

Executives say future cooperation will include technology integration, distribution strategies and collaboration across revenue management systems and artificial intelligence applications.

The agreement also introduces international talent exchange programmes designed to allow employees and executives to work across properties and regional offices.

Industry observers view the partnership as another example of hotel companies increasingly combining ownership, management expertise and technology partnerships to strengthen global expansion strategies.
