Design-led hotel brand TRIBE is expanding its cultural hospitality concept with the launch of NEW GROUNDS, a limited-edition double vinyl LP accompanied by dedicated listening stations across selected European hotels.
The initiative follows the recent debut of TRIBE Vinyl Club and aims to reposition hotel social spaces as immersive cultural destinations centred around music, community and local creative scenes.
TRIBE Launches First-Ever Vinyl Release
Created in collaboration with French radio station Radio Nova, NEW GROUNDS will be released in a limited global run of 1,000 copies.
The double LP has been designed as a musical interpretation of travel, movement and emotional connection, structured across four themed sides titled Unveil, Discover, Connect and Drift.
According to TRIBE, the concept reflects the rhythm and progression of a journey from arrival and exploration to escape and reflection.
Hotels Introduce Dedicated Vinyl Listening Spaces
As part of the rollout, TRIBE hotels in Paris, London, Düsseldorf and Budapest are introducing dedicated vinyl listening stations within their lounge and social areas.
The listening spaces are designed to encourage more intentional engagement with music rather than treating it solely as background ambience.
The initiative reflects a wider hospitality trend toward transforming hotels into cultural and lifestyle hubs rather than simply accommodation spaces.
Independent Record Stores Join Partnership
Each participating hotel has partnered with local independent record stores to strengthen connections with surrounding cultural communities.
The collaborations include vinyl sales, artist meet-and-greets, live performances, listening events and community-focused discussions.
Selected record stores also feature TRIBE listening stations, including Rough Trade East in London, Major Tom at Ground Control in Paris and Tiki Vinyl Store in Lyon.
LP Features International Artists And Exclusive Tracks
NEW GROUNDS includes music from artists spanning multiple generations and genres, including Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Brian Eno & John Cale, Danny Brown, Martina Topley-Bird and Khruangbin.
The album also includes several exclusive unreleased tracks created specifically for the project.
These include IS THIS LOVE? by Principles of Joy, CAROUSEL by Hendrix Harris, SANS SOLEIL (DESERTED ISLAND NEW GROUNDS REMIX) by Golden Bug and IMPOSSIBLE LOVE by Get A Room! & Paprika Kinski.
Hospitality Industry Increasingly Focuses On Cultural Experiences
The launch highlights a broader shift within lifestyle hospitality toward experiential programming tied to music, art and local identity.
Hotels increasingly use cultural partnerships and creative collaborations to differentiate themselves while attracting younger, experience-driven travellers.
TRIBE said the Vinyl Club concept is intended to create more meaningful social experiences while encouraging guests to engage with both music and local cultural communities in a slower and more deliberate way.
