An Irish man in his 40s has died after falling from a cliff on the Spanish island of Ibiza, according to local authorities.
The incident happened on Monday afternoon in the northern Es Caló de s’Illa area of the island.
Emergency Services Responded After Alert
Authorities said emergency services were called shortly after 5.30pm after a woman accompanying the man spotted him below the cliff edge and alerted police.
Civil Protection teams and medical personnel were first to arrive at the scene.
Officers from the Civil Guard, firefighters and local police were later also deployed to the area.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Irish Authorities Aware Of Incident
Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed it is aware of the incident.
A department spokesperson said consular assistance remains available if required.

Ibiza remains one of the most popular summer holiday destinations for Irish travellers, with multiple direct flight connections operating between Ireland and the Balearic island during the peak tourism season.
Local newspaper Periódico de Ibiza y Formentera first reported the incident.
