Ahold Delhaize Expands Uber Eats Grocery Delivery To 2,000 Stores

Ahold Delhaize USA has expanded its partnership with Uber Eats, bringing on-demand grocery delivery from nearly 2,000 stores across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.

The collaboration significantly broadens access to major supermarket brands, including Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop, all now available through the Uber Eats app.

Expanded Access To Everyday Essentials

Customers can browse and order thousands of items directly through the app, ranging from fresh produce and pantry staples to household goods and alcohol at selected locations.

The service offers both on-demand and scheduled delivery, providing flexibility for customers who want groceries delivered quickly or at a planned time.

To mark the launch, Uber and Ahold Delhaize brands are offering promotional discounts for first-time orders, while Uber One members benefit from zero delivery fees on eligible purchases and additional savings.

Strengthening Omnichannel Retail Strategy

The partnership reflects Ahold Delhaize USA’s broader strategy to expand its omnichannel capabilities, giving customers multiple ways to shop beyond traditional in-store and first-party digital platforms.

The agreement builds on an existing relationship through Uber Direct, which supports delivery for the retailer’s own online channels using Uber’s courier network.

By integrating with Uber Eats, the retailer extends its reach to a wider customer base while maintaining brand identity across its regional banners.

Seamless Ordering And Payment Options

Customers can access participating stores by selecting the grocery category within the Uber Eats app, choosing a nearby location and browsing available products.

Orders can be tracked in real time from checkout to delivery, enhancing transparency and convenience.

Eligible locations will also support SNAP and EBT payments through Uber’s partnership with Forage, expanding accessibility for a broader range of shoppers.

Growing Demand For On-Demand Grocery Services

The expansion highlights continued growth in the online grocery segment, as consumers increasingly expect fast, flexible delivery options integrated into everyday platforms.

By combining Ahold Delhaize USA’s retail network with Uber’s logistics and technology, the partnership aims to meet evolving customer expectations while strengthening both companies’ positions in the competitive grocery delivery market.
