Tauck Expands National Park Portfolio With New 2027 Yellowstone and Utah Trips

Tauck is expanding its North America portfolio with the launch of two new U.S. National Park itineraries for 2027, as demand for nature-based travel continues to accelerate.

The new journeys – one focused on Yellowstone National Park and another spanning Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park – are part of a programme that is already pacing 13% ahead of 2026 bookings in presale.

National parks remain a core driver of Tauck’s business. In 2025, 72% of its North America bookings included visits to U.S. and Canadian parks, reflecting continued demand for immersive, closer-to-home travel experiences that combine nature, accommodation and guided access.

Yellowstone in Peak Wildlife Seasons

The six-day “Yellowstone Awakens: Spring & Fall” itinerary is designed as a small-group experience, averaging 24 guests or fewer, and focuses on the park’s prime wildlife seasons.

Guests will spend four nights inside Yellowstone at the historic Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel, with early-morning wildlife safaris in Lamar Valley led by expert naturalist guides. The timing of departures is key: spring itineraries highlight wildflowers and newborn animals, while autumn trips showcase elk rutting season and changing foliage.

The programme also includes exclusive access experiences such as a private visit to the Yellowstone Heritage and Research Center and cultural sessions with Native American artists.

Utah Canyon Country With Premium Stays

A second itinerary, “Bryce & Zion: Sculpted by Time,” offers a seven-day journey through southern Utah, combining major national parks with lesser-visited landscapes including Snow Canyon State Park and Kodachrome Basin State Park.

Accommodation plays a central role in the experience. Guests stay at Black Desert Resort and Clear Sky Resorts, where glass-domed rooms offer panoramic views of some of North America’s darkest night skies. In Zion, travellers are based in Springdale with direct access to the park and explore via private tram and guided excursions, including slot canyon hikes and stargazing sessions.

Growth Driven by Experiential Travel

Tauck’s expansion builds on nearly a century of experience operating in national parks, dating back to its first Yellowstone itinerary in 1934. Today, the company operates across more than 40 parks and monuments, leveraging partnerships with historians, naturalists and cultural organisations to offer deeper access.

The 2027 programme will include 36 North America itineraries, including five family-focused journeys under its Tauck Bridges line, alongside new cultural offerings such as an expanded Mexico City and Oaxaca itinerary.

Industry trends suggest the continued appeal of national parks lies in a combination of accessibility, authenticity and accommodation innovation – from in-park stays that allow early wildlife viewing to immersive lodging such as safari-style tents and glass-domed suites.

As travel demand continues to shift toward experience-led itineraries, Tauck’s latest additions underscore how operators are evolving traditional sightseeing into curated, small-group journeys centered on nature, culture and exclusivity.
