St. Regis Dubai The Palm has temporarily closed its hotel operations as part of an ongoing refurbishment programme, joining a growing list of luxury properties across Dubai undergoing upgrades in 2026.
Located on Palm Jumeirah, the property confirmed that from mid-April, certain areas of the hotel would no longer be accessible to guests while enhancements are carried out. The move is part of what the hotel describes as a continued commitment to delivering a more refined and elevated luxury experience.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering an exceptional luxury experience we have embarked on a refurbishment project,” the hotel said in a statement, noting that a curated selection of guest experiences will still be available during the transition.
While accommodation operations are paused, the broader lifestyle and dining ecosystem connected to the property remains active. St. Regis Gardens continues to operate, alongside a lineup of high-profile venues including SushiSamba Dubai and concepts such as Trèsind Studio, Chez Wam, Signor Sassi, LEÑA, Aretha and Hanu.
This hybrid approach – maintaining food and beverage operations while upgrading core hotel infrastructure – reflects a strategic effort to preserve brand visibility and revenue streams during refurbishment.
The closure places St. Regis Dubai The Palm within a broader wave of transformations sweeping across the emirate. Other prominent properties currently undergoing similar transitions include Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City, Park Hyatt Dubai and Burj Al Arab, all of which are investing in upgrades, repositioning or phased closures.
The trend underscores a key dynamic in Dubai’s luxury hospitality market – continuous reinvention. As new developments enter the pipeline and guest expectations evolve, even established flagship properties are pausing operations to modernise their offering and maintain competitive edge.
For St. Regis Dubai The Palm, the refurbishment represents a recalibration rather than a retreat – a temporary pause designed to ensure it returns aligned with the next phase of luxury hospitality in Dubai.
