The extended ranking of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for 2026 has been released, revealing the restaurants placed between 51 and 100 ahead of the main awards ceremony in Hong Kong.
Sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, the list highlights the depth and diversity of Asia’s culinary landscape, featuring restaurants from 27 cities across the region.
The ranking is compiled by the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, a panel of more than 350 industry experts including chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and culinary professionals.
This year’s extended list reflects an expanding geographic reach, with four additional cities represented compared with the previous year. Ten cities appear on the list for the first time in 2026, including four debut destinations: Busan, Chengdu, Kanazawa and Nishikawa.
Seoul leads with the most entries
Among the cities represented, Seoul leads the extended ranking with seven restaurants. One of the new entries is San, which debuts at No.54.
The list also marks a milestone for Busan, which appears in the rankings for the first time with Fiotto at No.99.

Bangkok features five restaurants on the extended list, while Singapore and Hong Kong each have four restaurants represented. All three destinations also welcome at least one restaurant re-entering the ranking this year.
New Japanese cities highlighted
Japan continues to play a prominent role in the regional dining scene. Tokyo records three restaurants on the 51–100 list, including the new entry Sushi Shunji at No.63.
Meanwhile, Kanazawa welcomes two newcomers: Kataori at No.82 and Respiración at No.92. The Japanese town of Nishikawa also celebrates its first appearance on the list with Dewaya at No.93.
Elsewhere in China, Beijing restaurant Chef 1996 makes the highest debut this year at No.52. Chengdu also joins the extended ranking for the first time with restaurant Co-, which enters at No.69.
Biggest climb in the rankings
One of the most notable movements this year comes from Dewakan in Kuala Lumpur, which records the biggest rise on the list. The restaurant climbs 22 places to reach No.62.
Overall, 12 restaurants make their debut on the extended list, reflecting the continued evolution of Asia’s dynamic dining scene and the growing recognition of emerging culinary destinations.
A spokesperson for Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants said the ranking demonstrates the increasing diversity of the region’s gastronomy.
“We are delighted to unveil this year’s 51–100 list, welcoming more outstanding establishments into this year’s extended ranking. The 51–100 list once again highlights the incredibly diverse and thriving culinary scene of the region, this year including restaurants from 27 cities, with 12 restaurants represented on the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list for the first time.”
