Ryanair has announced a major expansion of its presence in Warsaw for the summer 2026 season, adding new routes and increasing capacity at both of the city’s airports.
The main growth hub will be Warsaw Modlin Airport, where the airline plans to double its passenger traffic to around three million travelers per year. The expansion forms part of a broader investment program valued at approximately $700 million.
At the same time, Ryanair is also strengthening operations at Warsaw Chopin Airport, offering travelers more low-cost flights directly from the capital’s primary airport.
New routes from Warsaw-Modlin
For summer 2026, Ryanair will launch seven new destinations from Warsaw-Modlin, expanding its network across southern Europe and Central Europe.
The new routes include:
- Alghero
- Lamezia Terme
- Palermo
- Bergamo (Milan-Bergamo Airport)
- Valencia
- Sofia
- Bratislava
In addition to the new destinations, the airline will increase frequencies on 29 existing routes from Modlin, strengthening its role as a key airport for travelers in the Mazovia region.
New routes from Warsaw Chopin Airport
Passengers departing from Warsaw’s main airport will also benefit from new low-cost connections. Ryanair plans to launch three strategic routes from Warsaw Chopin Airport:
- Porto
- Seville
- Leeds
The introduction of direct flights to Porto and Seville from Chopin Airport allows passengers to avoid the longer transfer to Modlin while still benefiting from Ryanair’s low fares.
While Modlin remains the airline’s primary base in the Warsaw region, the dual-airport strategy gives travelers more flexibility when planning summer trips across Europe.
With additional routes and increased flight frequencies, Ryanair expects the expansion to significantly boost passenger traffic in Warsaw and make it easier for travelers to reach popular Mediterranean destinations during the 2026 summer season.
