Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin officially opened in December 2025, marking a major new arrival in the heart of the French Alps. The property is set within Courchevel 1850, named for its altitude of 1,850 meters and regarded as one of Europe’s most prestigious ski destinations.
Designed by Tristan Auer, the hotel reinterprets the alpine chalet through a contemporary lens. Natural materials such as timber and stone are paired with copper accents and mirrored surfaces, creating interiors that feel both tactile and playful. Guests enter through sculptural, intricately carved doors into a refined private world where fireplaces, sunlit terraces, and sweeping mountain views define the experience.
Art plays a central role in the design. A striking installation by Olafur Eliasson, titled Two harmonious yet different crystals sharing views and reflection, features suspended crystalline forms set against mirrored walls and ceilings, creating the illusion of infinite, floating geometry.
Rooms, suites, and private alpine houses
The resort offers 51 rooms and suites, including three signature houses. Each accommodation opens onto panoramic seated terraces overlooking Les Trois Vallées, the world’s largest interconnected ski area.
The three houses are designed for privacy and togetherness, each accommodating up to eight guests with optional interconnecting rooms that create expansive living spaces ideal for families or groups. After a day on the slopes, they offer a secluded retreat within the resort.
The largest of the three, the Jardin Alpin Apartment, is a four-bedroom alpine residence featuring high ceilings, a private elevator entrance, a curated art collection, and expansive terraces with views of La Saulire. The residence also includes a cinema room, professional kitchen, and both indoor and outdoor dining areas designed for gatherings after skiing.
Alpine dining from lunch on the slopes to après-ski evenings
Dining at Rosewood Courchevel centres on a Mediterranean-inspired concept that draws on the culinary traditions of the French and Italian Alps. The restaurant overlooks the slopes and serves as a social hub, offering everything from grilled meats to slow-cooked regional specialties.
Daytime dining on the terrace focuses on alpine classics, including Savoyard fondue and hearty mountain dishes. As evening approaches, the atmosphere shifts into an intimate après-ski setting, with a refined à la carte menu, an extensive wine selection, and cocktails that reinterpret classic mixology.
Ski-in ski-out exploration with a personal touch
With ski-in ski-out access, the resort is directly connected to the slopes of Courchevel. A dedicated Ski Concierge team acts as lifestyle curators, tailoring each guest’s alpine experience with precision and discretion.
Bespoke experiences include private Savoyard dinners in secluded mountain chalets, complete with fireworks, and exclusive First and Last Track outings. These allow guests, accompanied by a private instructor, to ski Courchevel’s slopes at dawn or dusk, experiencing the mountains in rare stillness.
Asaya Spa brings holistic wellness to the Alps
Wellness is anchored by Asaya, Rosewood’s integrative spa concept, here reimagined as an alpine sanctuary. In partnership with EviDenS de Beauté and Sodashi, the spa offers treatments designed for recovery and renewal.
Signature experiences include the Ski Legs Revival Treatment, combining cryotherapy, Recovery Air Jet Boots, and massage to ease post-ski fatigue, as well as the Oxylight 3D Radiance Ceremony, a high-technology facial blending oxygen infusion, LED therapy, and microdermabrasion. Reiki, sound baths, and movement-based experiences such as Mountain Pilates and Silent Movement sessions further connect guests to the alpine environment.
