Preferred Hotels & Resorts Announces 8 Luxury Openings for 2026

Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest independent hotel brand, is preparing for a landmark year of expansion, confirming eight new luxury properties set to open in 2026. The additions span culturally rich capitals, restored heritage sites, and fast-rising urban destinations – reinforcing the brand’s commitment to authenticity, design excellence, and place-driven hospitality.

The announcement aligns with shifting traveller priorities captured in the company’s latest Luxury Travel Report, where global luxury consumers increasingly seek heritage, meaningful experiences, and independent hotels that offer personal recognition rather than standardisation.

Chief Executive Officer Lindsey Ueberroth noted that the 2026 pipeline reflects this evolution in traveller expectations. “Today’s luxury guests value authenticity, thoughtful curation and legacy moments,” she said. “Our new openings – including four Legend Collection properties – embody the individuality and depth modern travellers expect.”
