LOT Polish Airlines (PLL LOT) is expanding its leisure network with a new seasonal route to one of Europe’s most beloved holiday destinations. Beginning in May 2026, the carrier will launch direct flights from Warsaw Chopin Airport to Palma de Mallorca, further strengthening its offer on high-demand tourist routes.
The new connection will operate three times per week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights from Warsaw (LO447) will depart at 11:35, with return services from Palma de Mallorca (LO448) departing at 15:50 on the same days. LOT will operate the route using the Boeing 737 MAX 8, offering passengers a comfortable three-hour-ten-minute journey to the Balearic Islands.
Mallorca remains one of Europe’s most sought-after summer destinations, known for its turquoise coves, pristine beaches, dramatic cliffs and a rich cultural and historical heritage. The new LOT service will make the island even more accessible for travellers from Poland, enabling flexible trip planning and convenient flight timings for both short breaks and longer holidays.
LOT’s Network Department Director, Robert Ludera, described the new route as a natural extension of the airline’s growing portfolio of high-potential leisure markets, inviting travellers to start planning their 2026 summer holidays.
Mallorca’s appeal extends far beyond its idyllic beaches. The UNESCO-listed Serra de Tramuntana mountains offer some of Europe’s most scenic hiking and cycling trails, while the island’s interior is dotted with fragrant orange groves, charming villages and destinations such as Sóller, best reached via a historic wooden railway. Underground wonders like Cuevas del Drach, home to Lake Martel and its atmospheric classical concerts, add another layer to the island’s diverse attractions.
The island’s history spans ancient Rome, Moorish rule and the Aragonese crown, leaving behind architectural and cultural landmarks including Palma’s La Seu cathedral, the Arab Baths, Bellver Castle and the ancient settlement of Pollentia. Fortified towers, medieval towns such as Alcúdia and Capdepera, and traditional finca estates further enrich the island’s heritage.
LOT continues to emphasise a comfortable travel experience, with hand baggage always included in the fare and complimentary drinks and snacks served even on short European flights. Additional paid meals, children’s amenities, seasonal mascots and Shop&More inflight products enhance the journey for all age groups.
Tickets for LOT’s new Warsaw–Mallorca flights are now available through all sales channels, including lot.com, LOT Contact Center and LOT Travel offices.
